Although this blog is more a diary and a way to keep friends and family up to date I am also hoping to help visitors to this far flung region of Thailand. I struggle to find good information such as hotels, transporation and places to see so every now and then I will post a review of sorts, such as right now!
Montana Hotel.
179/1-4 Upparat Rd
Ph 045 261748-50

400 baht a night. ($17 AUS)
Best value place that I have found so far. Better then the 400 baht room at the Tokyo that I stayed at last time.
36 good sized rooms, fridge, all rooms have air con, friendly service. Room service. Karaoke lounge (if that’s your thing.) TV has the usual Thai channels as well as the BBC and one english movie channel.
They have wifi in the lobby but as I am on the 2nd floor directly above I can still access it. The password is montana1234.
I only have my phone with me so sorry about the quality of the pics.

MeMock replied “ermmmm yes I know that, that’s why I said in my post that I was sorry for the quality of the pics as I only have my camera phone with me.”

It looks clean and comfy. How many stars out of five would you give it??
MeMock replied “Well if 5 stars were the Marriot I would give this one 2 of them.”

400 Baht a night for a hotel with two beds is great value for money.
In Pattaya Thailand most hotel rooms have only one bed, and if you are travelling as a family it is great to find a hotel room which the family can share, to give us peace of mind.
Thanks for the info of the hotel and the contact details
